Sobradelo da Goma - 4830-721, Póvoa de Lanhoso, Portugal

Portuguese filigree is one of the most emblematic expressions of traditional jewellery and has a deep historical connection to the Minho region.
Póvoa de Lanhoso is recognised as one of the historic centres of filigree in Portugal, where this jewellery art has been practiced and refined over generations of goldsmiths.
In this workshop, you will step into an authentic workshop where this tradition continues to live on.
The experience is guided by Manuel, a highly skilled fourth-generation goldsmith, belonging to a family with a long tradition in the art of filigree — a heritage that today continues into its fifth generation.
Over approximately 3 to 4 hours, you will observe the work of a master goldsmith up close and take part in the essential steps that give shape to a simple filigree piece.
At the end of the experience, you will take home not only a silver filigree heart pendant created by you, but also a deeper appreciation for an art that forms part of Portugal’s jewellery heritage.
